Solo(ish) Trip to Dallas
If you’ve read my previous blogs you would know that one of my short term goals is to travel to every major city in the US. I’ve never been to Texas and could never find the perfect time for my friends and I to visit. Lately I’ve been having this urge to travel alone but I can’t convince my mom that its safe. I decided to travel to Dallas because I know someone that lives there, but about 40% of the time I was solo.
First off, I loveee Dallas and everything about it! Its cheaper, has amazing Mexican food, and its very diverse. I booked a hotel at the Hampton Inn and Suites, in the middle of downtown for $92 a night, with breakfast included. It was walking distance to a couple stores and restaurants which was really convenient for a weekend stay.
Why I wanted to travel solo? It seemed like a great way to experience travel. I did everything I had time to do without having a say so from someone else. I can’t say it’s the safest but I didn’t want to miss the opportunity to go to Dallas.
I would say “ubering” around the city was a little scary but I’m so glad I had the courage to go. I got to experience a little of Dallas nightlife, a lot of Mexican food and the highlight of my trip touring the AT&T Stadium.
Have you ever considered a solo trip? To where?
I considered a solo trip to Mexico only reason I wasn’t able to was a few hospital visits and we all know those are rather costly but 2020 I’m certainly traveling alone
